Wow! Congrats! I'm glad they included a photo, because now I can put a face to the writing.

You used the term "attention to detail" just for the Shrikes, didn't you? ;)

That is a great interview, and you are totally cute.

Congratulations! It was a good interview. And you shouldn't be bothered by the deveining of the foie gras, it really isn't that bad. I could never have poached the lobsters like that. I have to leave the room while my husband does it. I come back after they're dead. Wow, that came out of nowhere.

That's great! I have made a few of the FL dishes too, such as the fennel/rhubarb dessert, the lemon tart, the pasta with clam sauce (in veggie style though), and the orange glaze fish (which I made with tofu), among others. I even made some in vegan versions, though I know what some people think about that.

Anyway, I normally try to post most of the special dishes I make on my blog, but now, following your example, I've been inspired to make even more FL dishes more often (and document them on my blog, of course) and to not just wait for those special occasions, dinner guests, or even for the mood to strike.

My version of the dishes look worse than yours do, as I am just not as good at this as you, but I love the dishes just as much and the process of making them even more than that!

Thanks for the inspiration. I love seeing your creations and reading about the real life making of the ones I haven't tried. It helps me think about which one to try next, and has made me fall in love with the FL cookbook just that much more. Keep up the great work!
